Eyes and brain will be keenly in tune with the Oulton Park race circuit when David Moore looks to build on his third place in the Ginetta Junior Championships. The 4th and 5th June will mark the next stage in this plucky 15 year olds second season behind the wheel of the Supa Swap Ginetta G40.

David has even more challenges to contend with off track as he tackles his GCSE’s in Digital Photography, Science, English and Maths. It’s a lot to juggle but in only his second season, David is up with the pace setters and even has sister Sarah in his rear view mirror. The family set a new record last season as the first brother and sister to share a podium for the same race.

Oulton Park is the next hurdle, situated next to Little Budworth in Cheshire, it sounds like a sedate country retreat but David will be pushing himself to the limit in the three 15 minute practice sessions and then the qualifier, before fighting for points in the main two 15 minute races. It’s a tough act to follow, Ginetta Junior Champion for 2009, Sarah Moore is the one they all want to beat this season. Currently in 11th position, Harrogate born Sarah has confidence in her Supa Swap sponsored Ginetta G40, well it does come from the same gritty Yorkshire background as her.

Fresh from the 80,000 square foot factory in Garforth, just outside Leeds, the G40 carries on a proud history of racing and is perfect for the 14 to 17 year olds in the Ginetta Junior Championship. The 1800 cc  engine, rear wheel drive  and lightweight design teaches car control and racing skills.

Just before the 2010 season started Sarah spoke of her pride. ” It’s a real honour to know that the Eurotech team are going to run me in the new Ginetta G40. Last year  was a dream year for me but now I have to get out there and defend my title as champion and I am also very grateful to have SupaSwap as our main sponsor.”

Sarah likes a challenge, she will be giving it her all as she tries to reel in the racers above her, including brother David.
