Results Time!!

Okay so it’s results time! For all the I/GCSE and AS/A Level students, it’s now time to find out how you’ve done! What I do not get about the British Education system is that: Why on EARTH would you want to make us wait that LONG for us to find our results? I mean – right in the middle of Summer! It’s like “Party” then “Oh damn, results soon” and then you’re either rejoicing because of your great grades or you’re in depression because you didn’t do as well! Why make us wait that long! It is just not fair! But anyhow, Cambridge have already released their exam results, it’s now time for Edexcel and the rest to publish theirs! Hurry up will you! For those of you that are a bit disappointed no need to worry! There are always re-sits! And now you just have more of a reason to work harder and kick some b***. Hahah! And Congratulations to those that have done awesomely! Remember, once you get to University, this all seems like a piece of cake so don’t get too stressed about it! Enjoy the rest of your Summer!!

What your profile says about you…

For those of you who have Facebook or any other social-networking account, be careful with what you reveal about yourself! It may be fun posting about every little thing you do and where exactly you might be later on in the day and publishing all types of photos of you and your friends – but it can also be dangerous. Without the proper use of Privacy Settings, anyone anywhere in the World can see what you are up to, what you look like and what you are doing (yes, this creeps me out extremely)! So be careful and please adjust your privacy settings on your account to “Friends Only” just in case! =)

The Chinese army helps its soldiers find love

I was reading loads of fun news stories and came across this one, the strangest of all.
Apparently the 2.3 million Chinese in the army have been relying on the internet for their romance. However, internet romance along with diaries and other sites such as facebook have recently been banned. This is why the army commanders have now decided to become matchmakers by helping the troops find love. They have regular meetings and small parties to learn how to “find partners”.
Personally, I find this adorable but it’s still really strange. Any other opinions on this?

Supa Swap means a greener environment

I don’t know if you’ve realised, but it’s true! Buying things second hand, just like you do at garage sales or on ebay, means that you’re doing your part to lessen the pollution created to make all the items you buy new in the store. The countless factories making all your games and toys are polluting the planet like you’d never know. You may not understand how buying things second hand helps the planet, but let me explain how I see it. If we all just bought things second hand and swapped the items we don’t want anymore, the factories making the new items would stop selling as much, meaning they may have to make less, inevitably meaning less pollution. So be like Ghandi, just don’t get involved and maybe this will mean a change for our world!
If you really dont want to keep all your great toys, games, books etc, please make an effort and try and get as much as you can recycled. As tesco say, every little helps :)
One more thing, that was a fantastic match yesterday between Spain and Germany, I really didn’t expect Spain to win to be honest, but it was a very exciting match and I can’t wait for the final :D :D

Sunday’s match, what a let down :(

Well I think it’s safe to say the match between England and Germany was an absolute fail. I’m in France at the moment, and I’m sure I heard the whole of England scream out when the referee refused to count the second goal England scored. I bet he must have felt like a right idiot when he realised that was actually a goal!
It’s really dissapointing to see such a good team be beaten, I really thought we would beat the Germans after the (almost) second goal England scored, but obviously not. I’m keeping high hopes for Argentina and Brazil because both have done really well so far, so good luck to them!
Other than that Wimbeldon has also been on, and so have the lovely Nadal and Murray. Nadal has been doing really well and I hope it only gets better for him! On the girls’ side, Selena Williams seems to be doing really well (as usual), and I just loved her bright purple nails which she had done for the occasion!
Also, everyone keep swapping! There are new items on sale every day for everyone to have a look at :)

COME ON ENGLAND!!!!

That was quite a difference in the English team last match! I have to say I’m quite relieved they played rather well (and thank God Rooney shaved his beard off!). After the first match I was worried, I mean we are THE football country, and we didn’t even beat the USA. So I think they realized they needed to step it up and gave us quite an exciting performance in the match against Slovenia. The most nerve-recking part being when Slovenia actually had four or five attempts at scoring and England managed to stop all of them from getting in!

Now all we need to worry about is how it’s going to go down on Sunday against Germany. I have to admit it’s really harsh that they put us up against such a seemingly strong team. Although they lost against Serbia they did win 4-0 against Australia (but then again Australia played absolutely horribly!) I’ll be watching the match in an awesome bar that has the biggest flat screen I have ever seen, how about you guys? I think a lot of German people are going to be there so I really have to get my England gear on and bring my little flag along to support the team!

I saw a funny facebook page called “France quitting? USA late? England left to fight Germany? Sounds familiar…” which made me laugh and reminds me that we could definately win against Germany like we did in 1945.

All this to say support England! Everyone have fun on Sunday, wear your best England shirt and please oh please do NOT buy those horrible vuvuzelas!
