David Moore ahieved 2 podiums during the first two rounds of the Ginetta Junior Championship at Thruxton this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 3rd and 4th April, and in doing so also moved to third in the Championship driver standings.
Third placed David said: “It was a good race; I was quite far back to start with but managed to come through quite well. Towards the end I had some trouble with the gearbox so I was glad to hold on to third really. It’s a good start to the year for me so hopefully we can build on this and maybe challenge for a win next time out.”
Sarah Moore managed 10th place in round one apart from suffering mechanical problems, her team advised the wrong tire choice and she spun off in the wet and did well to recover. In round two she finished sixth. Sarah the defending Champion added” I look forward to Rockingham I have a fantastic team behind me (Eurotech Racing) and we know what the problems with the car are and they will be fixed in time for the next rounds of the Championship. I am pleased for my brother David he did well to get on the podiums, but I intend to beat him at Rockingham?
There are just three weeks to wait until the next action-packed instalment of the Ginetta Junior Championship with rounds three and four of the 2010 season taking place on 24th/25th April at Rockingham in Northamptonshire.
