Wow! you´ve bowled us over with your great designs! Due to tremendous demand and to give everybody a fair chance of winning we have decided to extend the Logo Competition until the 31st October 2009. So come on all of you that are lingering with your designs, get them uploaded!

Well things are certainly heating up in the competition…!

New submissions are coming in, votes are following, and now…? A little scandal and intrigue!

Now obviously an Apple Mac Book Air is a super-cool prize which you guys should be doing your best to win. But by ‘best’ I mean ‘coming up with creative strategies that fall within the rules of the competition’- ie not resorting to sneakiness to get your votes up!

Specifically I’ve heard rumours of people using fake ‘ghost-email’ accounts to vote for themselves. The SupaSwap team are all over stuff like that, so there’s no way that kind of thing will go unnoticed. C’mon guys! Don’t stoop to that level. There are way more creative, fun and acceptable ways to get extra votes (and the grand prize!).

For example, I mentioned in my last post that some people are uploading their logos onto Youtube for a little extra exposure. Well, we’ve had another Youtube video added (check it out)! And it looks awesome

In fact it kind of inspired me!

I am now planning to make my Youtube debut this week with a little low-budget video I put together about the competition. As soon as it’s up I’ll post it and you can let me know what you think (but obviously only if what you think is something nice and complimentary)!

The SupaSwap design-a-logo competition has begun!

That’s right- even though the competition has only been open for a few days the entries are rolling in and the votes are flying. And I have a feeling that things are going to get very very interesting…

Because this is what’s happening: not only have we had some truly awesome designs coming in, but we also have some super-slick strategies at play.

Remember: we’re all about democracy at SupaSwap so the winner will be based on votes and nothing but votes. Our competition leader at present is campaigning for support on his blog , youtube channel and twitter. And you can do the same too!

Want my advice?

If you submit an entry (and lets face it, with a Mac Book Air up for grabs, why wouldn’t you?) do whatever you can to get as many of your friends/ family members/ classmates/ anyone /everyone to log on and vote for your design.

Get creative! Update your Facebook profile, add a link to your chat status, send texts and IMs to all your friends. Basically get the word out!

And while you’re using your Twitter and Facebook accounts to round up your own personal fanbase get in touch with the SupaSwap team here or here.

But of course the best place to start is to… um… well, design a logo obviously! Upload your design, get a little inspiration, or check out who the competition is at the competition page.
